Episode 75: How to Optimize Your Thyroid
Annette Gettinger is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist. Her speciality is working with women who have Thyroid Disease and gut issues. She provides diet and lifestyle techniques to help women lose weight and eliminate their thyroid symptoms so that they can improve their quality of life. Annette became a dietitian after caring for her mother when she was diagnosed with her first autoimmune condition, celiac disease. She realized that autoimmune conditions plagued her family and she didn’t want that for herself and sought after nutritional answers. It wasn’t until Annette found out she had Hashimoto’s thyroiditis in 2017 when she hit the research even harder. She was scared to lose control of her quality of life and to rely on medication for the rest of her life. Since discovering the right diet & lifestyle for Thyroid disease and other autoimmune conditions she is now on a mission to help and serve as many women as possible. “Doctors aren’t giving dietary solutions, only medication. It just isn’t enough and it doesn’t address the root cause.” When Annette isn’t working she is busy chasing her 3-kids around and hanging out with her husband or rare date nights.
